Schubkegel 4th of July Annual Reunion

After the Bohlman families left, mom (Joyce) arrived on Wednesday afternoon to join Tim, Tyler, and Jenni. We did some small projects, including a new landscaping corner by the sun room with new mulch from the local landfill. The Check-Mate starter was ordered and installed on Wednesday. The small holding tank was emptied on Thursday. Tim took The Reiners and Biedenbenders came later that evening. Up to that point the weather had been calm and the crappie/panfish fishing great, with every-day meals of fillets.

It was great to get the group together again, although we missed Angie (work), Levi (Alaska), Jessica (work), Dave (Iraq), and Laura (3M).

The annual boat parade was Saturday. "Floyd", the killer lake great white shark, was voted best of the parade. We spent the 4th of July evening on Floyd watching Mitch and our lake neighbors shoot off fireworks until the mosquitos drove us in. We watched Dave's baseball movie (Dennis Quaid), which was a hit!

Some of the big cabin rooms were rearranged (furniture). When most people left, bought an antenna for the large cabin and picked up 11 channels on the Reiner television. Mom stayed up until the following Sunday and enjoyed the good weather.
